Each year, the MICCAI conference presents a number of awards to graduate students and early career scientists for outstanding papers published at the MICCAI proceedings. These papers will initially be short-listed by the program committee and then considered by the awards committee. The winners will be selected based on reviews and oral/poster presentations at the conference.
Sponsored by Philips, the award is for publications with measurable contributions that have a proven and persistent impact on the field of medical image analysis and interventions. Nominations are made by the MICCAI Board and MICCAI Society members.
Sponsored by Kitware. To be eligible, the applicant must be the first author of a paper published at MICCAI in the last five years, and be an early career scientist at the time of publication. The winner will have made a substantial impact on the field based on this publication.
Sponsored by Elsevier, this award will be presented to the best papers published in the special issue of the Medical Image Analysis Journal dedicated to the previous MICCAI conference.
The MICCAI Society and MICCAI 2013 provide a limited number of Student Travel Awards, in the value of 500 USD or 50,000 JPY each, to support student authors to present their papers at MICCAI 2013. For this award, the applicant must be the first author of a paper accepted to MICCAI 2013 and should be a student at a recognized university at the time of the MICCAI paper submission deadline. MICCAI requires that the applicant should be registered for attending the conference via the online payment website of MICCAI-2013 by the early bird registration deadline.
