In order to obtain a special rate for the MICCAI Conference registration, it is strongly advised to first register to the MICCAI Society. Registrants can choose to become members of the MICCAI Society by selecting "REGULAR(10,500yen)" or " STUDENT(5,250yen)" during Step 1 of the registration process for MICCAI 2013. Having a MICCAI Society membership 2013-2014 allows to register for the MICCAI 2013 conference at the member discounted rates. This is strongly advised as the cost of the MICCAI society membership is more than covered by the reduction of the MICCAI Conference registration fees. This means that the total expense of Membership plus Conference is lower than Conference alone.
Faculty level scientists, engineers, physicians, surgeons, allied health professionals, students, post-doctoral trainees, and industry scientists with an interest in medical/biomedical image computing and/or computer assisted interventions are invited to join the MICCAI Society. Student fees are reduced to encourage their participation in the Society, but must provide "the MICCAI Student Registration Validation Form".
The standard MICCAI Society subscription rate is 10,500JPY for full members (non-students) and 5,250JPY for students, although this is offset by the generous discount of the annual conference fee. MICCAI Society membership carries several benefits including:

Members of the Society have the opportunity to serve on Society committees, in staff positions and/or on the Board of Directors. While serving on the Board of Directors, they can be candidates for election to the Executive Committee as Society Officers. The MICCAI Society email list of its members is generally not available for any purpose other than official MICCAI Society operations.

Then we will manually apply discount rate and inform you to perform payment process.
For each article accepted at MICCAI, it is required to have at least one of the authors registered at the main conference BEFORE 20 June 2013 (PST), with the commitment to present it at the conference.
Papers without registered author(s) will be withdrawn from the program and the proceedings.
All participants must be registered and are urged to register in advance.

If for reasons beyond the control of the organizers, the Conference is cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded after expenses incurred by the Conference have been deduced.
